Rockstar Energy’s The Future Hearts Tour did a show in Atlanta on Saturday. The tour featured Atlanta-based, metalcore band Issues; pop-punk band State Champs of New York; Australian pop-punk band Tonight Alive and the tour’s main attraction, All Time Low, a pop-punk band based out of Baltimore, Maryland who began this tour in honor of their sixth-studio album release Future Hearts on April 7.

Warnings of severe thunderstorms on Saturday caused the Rockstar Energy staff to take extra precaution and move the show from the Masquerade Music Park venue to the Atlanta Civic Center. The originally sold-out show was able to sell more tickets due to the venue change.

This change, however, caused some disruption among fans of all four bands, who were more concerned about the restricting of rows and seats than the potential dangers that the weather could cause. Despite complaints, the Atlanta Civic Center would continue to be the tour’s venue.

Fans showed up to get in line several hours before the doors opened at 6pm, sitting on the ground and entertaining themselves until permitted inside. There was an amazing turn out; every single seat in the civic center was taken, meaning a total of over 4500 people attended the show.

The show began with the opening acts in this order: State Champs, Tonight Alive, and Issues. Derek Discanio (frontman of State Champs) and Jenna McDougall (frontwoman of Tonight Alive) even went to the merchandise tables and met many fans in between sets.

Although there were many fans of each band out in the crowd, it was evident that the majority of people within the center were All Time Low fans, or as they like to call themselves, “Hustlers.” And All Time Low did not disappoint with a set that featured songs from their latest album Future Hearts and progressively went backwards into their past albums. Frontman Alex Gaskarth also slowed things down in the middle of the show by playing two acoustic songs: an oldie called “Therapy” and a song off of Future Hearts titled “Missing You.

All Time Low ended the show performing their well-known single from 2008 “Dear Maria, Count Me In” while several confetti cans shot continuously through the entire song. They also promised to return to Atlanta soon, since their last visit to the city had been three years earlier.
