GPS Sued Over Incident From 2008

  • Friday, April 3, 2015

Girls Preparatory School has been sued over an incident that happened almost seven years ago.

The complaint was filed in Circuit Court by attorney Wes Kliner and his daughter, Jacqueline Kliner.

It says in September 2008 Ms. Kliner was a student at GPS. She entered the eighth grade bathroom adjacent to the teacher's lounge at the middle school.

The suit says the door to the bathroom stall fell on her left foot. The principal called Mr. Kliner, who took his daughter to Children's Hospital.

The suit, filed by attorney Chris Clem, asks $50,000 in damages for the foot injury.

It says the statute of limitations would not run out until one year from when Ms. Kliner reaches age 18.
