SonRise Resurrection Pageant guests will be immersed in an interactive walk-through of Christ’s last days featuring 500 costumed cast members on Saturday.

This year, 7,000 free pageant tickets were given away in less than 90 minutes at Hamilton Place Mall.

The one-mile walk-through event recreates six interactive scenes from the Bible. SonRise attendees will stroll through a Jerusalem marketplace complete with shops, camels, and sheep; stand in the crowd as Jesus is condemned to death and crucified; and watch as Jesus is resurrected after his death on the cross.

Started in 1996, attendance at this event ranges from 9,000 to 10,000 people annually. The SonRise Resurrection Pageant is a collaboration of Southern Adventist University and the Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists.
