The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place honored distinguished teachers for five local schools on Wednesday, April 15, during the club meeting at GraceWorks Church off Lee Hwy.
Seniors were asked to vote for the influential educator whose actions exemplify the Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self, and demonstrate the following principles of the Rotary Club’s 4-Way Test for the things we think, say, or do: (1) Is it the truth? (2) Is it fair to all concerned? (3) Will it build good will and better friendships? (4)Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Officials said, "The club has hosted this program since 2003 and we were delighted to honor dedicated teachers for the 2014-2015 school year."
Those teachers honored were chauffeured with their principal by limousine and presented a plaque, as well as a gift card of appreciation.
