Two-Story Fraternity Lodge Planned On Property Owned By The Salvation Army On 8th Street

A two-story fraternity lodge is planned on property owned by the Salvation Army in the 900 block of E. Eighth Street.

The applicant is Pat Neuhoff of Neuhoff Taylor Architects.

The site is just over half an acre.

The facility would have 12 lodging rooms, one common area, and a kitchen. Each lodging room may have one to two lodgers.

The building would face East 8th Street with a dumpster at the rear near Flynn Street.

The main entrance would be from East 8th Street with exits at Palmetto Street and Flynn Street.

There would be 33 parking spaces.

The Regional Planning Agency staff is recommending approval of R-4 zoning with conditions.

It goes before the Planning Commission on Monday at 1 p.m. at the County Courthouse.
