Hamilton County has reached a settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit involving a 2010 suicide at Juvenile Court.

The family of 15-year-old Austin Dakota Wallace filed the suit, saying the center was negligent in not properly supervising inmates at the Juvenile Detention Center.

Officials said the hanging was the first suicide in the detention center's history.

Also, city officials said the city and county were settling a lawsuit involving a fall at The Passage at the riverfront.

The city and county are to pay $75,000 each.
