Dalton Jury Finds Skyy Mims Guilty Of Murdering Convenience Store Clerk

A Dalton, Ga., jury on Friday night found aspiring entertainer Skyy Mims guilty of murdering a convenience store clerk.

The former Detroit woman was found guilty on all counts, including the robbery of DK Chaudhari.

The verdict in the courtroom of Judge Jack Partrain came after a week-long trial.

The jury deliberated for less than an hour.

Sentencing is June 19.

The tall, striking defendant's DNA was found on latex gloves at the place she was staying along with the DNA of the victim.

Her cell phone was left behind in the convenience store.

She allegedly wanted to steal Lotto tickets in an attempt to finance her planned entertaining career.
