Shirley Dianne Cook Fickey, 73, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Friday, May 8, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edith Cook; and sister, Gayle.
She loved her Lord, her family and friends. Dianne retired from teaching after 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dianne loved people. She had one of the most kind and generous spirits. Everyone who was privileged to have known Granny left feeling special.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Fickey; three daughters, Lisa (Dennis) deVaux of Chickamauga, Andrea (Andrew) Edmondson of Rome and Joy Guthrie of Ringgold; eight grandchildren, Amber (Dustin) Madaris, Zach (Becky) deVaux, Cody Ward, Grady Edmondson, Jake (Lela) Guthrie, Amber (Jay) Ellis, Luke and Judge Guthrie; five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Emma Grace Madaris, Zachary, Zeke and Ziva deVaux; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Second Baptist Church, LaFayette will be Monday, May 11 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Zach deVaux and Pastor Mike Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memory Gardens.
