The Cleveland State Athletic Department announced that three sophomores have signed scholarship papers to continue their collegiate careers at four year institutions.  Lady Cougar Brandi Whitted has signed with the Lady Lions of Bryan College.  Her teammate Jamesha Mosley has signed with Kentucky State while Cougar Rico Overall is taking his talents to Lee University.

Whitted, a 5’8” guard from Cleveland and Bradley Central, was the third leading scorer for the Lady Cougars this past year.  She averaged 7.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.  She also had a total of 23 blocks this past year.

Mosley, a 5’9” forward from Hopkinsville (Ky.) and Christian County High, was the leading scorer her two years at Cleveland State.  This year she averaged 16.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 assists per game.  She was also named an All-TCCAA All Conference member both years at Cleveland State.  Both Whitted and Mosley were contributors in the team’s runner-up finish in the NJCAA Region VII/TCCAA basketball tournament this past March.

Overall, a 6’ point guard from Kennesaw and Walton High, was the Cougars leading scorer this year as he averaged 20.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.6 steals in his only season at Cleveland State.  He transferred this past season from East Georgia College.
