GameTime, a leading manufacturer of inclusive playground and outdoor fitness equipment headquartered in Fort Payne, Al., is an exhibitor this week at the 19th Annual ADA Symposium in Atlanta. The four day event is a comprehensive conference on the Americans with Disabilities Act and is designed to provide the latest information on ADA regulations and guidelines, implementation strategies, and best practices through dynamic, interactive sessions.
GameTime is a long-standing sponsor and exhibitor at the conference.
“We believe that play and outdoor recreation is the right of every person. This is our mission, and it aligns perfectly with this conference and its attendees,” said Tom Norquist, senior vice president at GameTime. “Symposium attendees are here to learn how they can be effective advocates for accessibility and inclusion. We provide tools and information that help them raise awareness and create play and fitness environments that provide opportunities for children and adults of all abilities.”
This year, the GameTime exhibit includes playgrounds designed around the 7 Principles of Inclusive Playground Design, as outlined in the Me2 program. Me2 was created in partnership with PlayCore and Utah State University, Center for Persons with Disabilities. It is a comprehensive best-practice guide for designing inclusive playgrounds that benefit the whole child. GameTime is also exhibiting accessible outdoor fitness products from GTfit, including new products designed for users over the age of 50. In addition, attendees can receive information on how communities can receive National Demonstration Site designations for their inclusive playgrounds and outdoor fitness parks.
