Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford celebrated Mother’s Day with a wonderful afternoon Mother-Daughter Tea. The residents of the assisted living community enjoyed spending the day with their daughters, granddaughters, friends and other loved ones.
The ladies treated themselves with fresh fruit, cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad, cheese, petit fours and thumbprint cookies while listening to Tom Bumbgardner on the baby grand piano. After eating, guest speaker Judy Patton was introduced and gave a lovely testimony on the relationship between she and her late mother and the life lessons that she was taught. Judy is also the mother of Holly Holcomb (LED), and during her talk, Holly entered, portraying a bratty teenage girl, complaining of her mother’s rules, affection, etc., but in the end, she wouldn’t trade her mother for any other in the world. The Morning Pointe Men’s Quartet was also invited to the tea, to sing a special chorus of Amazing Grace and the afternoon ended with a quick game of Famous TV Mother/Daughters and winners were awarded with beautiful angel wind chimes.
Every lady also left with an angel ornament and angel bookmark. It was a wonderful Mother’s Day at Morning Pointe.
