Tennessee Wesleyan College hosted a closing reception and awards ceremony for the Congressional High School Art Competition for District 3. The competition was hosted by Congressman Chuck Fleischmann and featured 32 entries from high school students throughout District 3.
The first place piece of art was "Flow" by McCallie student, Jiahao Guo.
This piece will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year. Guo will also receive two roundtrip tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend a reception for the winning artists from each district.

Second place -"Still Life in Earth Tones" by Jaclyn Dennis from Chattanooga High School Center for the Creative Arts
Third place - "Counterglow" by Skylar Laman from Chattanooga High School Center for the Creative Arts
Honorable Mention - "Red Eyes" by Chloe Lemoine from Chattanooga High School Center for the Creative Arts
Honorable Mention - "Table With Cloth and Flower" by Katarina Radu from Chattanooga High School Center for the Creative Arts
Honorable Mention - "Rainbow Water" by Hunter Wall from McCallie
The second and third place winners will have their pieces displayed in Congressman Fleischmann’s Chattanooga office for one year. The honorable mentions received gift certificates to ArtShop, located in Athens.
