Shirley Ortiz, 61, of Harrison, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving husband and daughter.
Originally from Ohio and formerly of Lansing, MI, Shirley spent the last several years in Harrison to be near her daughter and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. James Randolph; brother, Jimmy Randolph; and step-mother, June Randolph.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Jorge Ortiz, daughter, Mary (Woody) Miller; two grandchildren, Savannah and Trey Miller; siblings, Janice (Junior) Younts, Bonnie Medina, David, Alice and Beth Randolph; cousin, Dottie (Harold) Coffey; mother in-law, Carolina Garcia-Maldonado, sisters-in-law,Janie Orozco, Alvera Maldonado and Maggie Velazquez; brothers-in-law, Richard (Norma) Garcia, David and Johnny Maldonado; step-daughters, Carrie and Jessica Ortiz and their children; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of her life is planned for Sunday, May 17, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with Chaplain Dick Fisher with Hearth Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah,TN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 17 from 1-3 p.m.
