Joseph Eugene Gann Arrested For Cruelty To Animals After Throwing Small Dog To Be Killed By Pit Bull

Joseph Eugene Gann was arrested on Sunday, on multiple charges after throwing a small dog to a pit bull. 

On Sunday, at approximately 7:30 p.m. deputies were dispatched to 10707 Dolly Pond Road. The reporting person told Deputy Ty Williams that they observed a neighbor walk over and throw a small white dog into the area where a pit bull was located. The pit bull immediately attacked and killed the small dog.

As a result of a statement given to the deputies investigating the case, the man was identified as Joseph Eugene Gann.

Gann left the scene in a red pickup following the incident. While deputies awaited the arrival of the Humane Society, Gann returned to the area. He was then arrested and charged with DUI second offence, possession of schedule II drugs, unlawful removal of a vehicle  registration, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, and cruelty to animals.
