Bradley County Sheriff’s Office deputies and members of the Criminal Investigations Division searched the area in and near the Charleston Boat Dock Tuesday evening after reports of a possible body in the water.

After several hours of searching the water and banks of the Hiwassee River, both Bradley and McMinn County officers ended the search.

There had been no concrete evidence of a body at the location. Still, Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson said the search proceeded as a precautionary measure.
