DAR Honors Military At Chattanooga Armed Forces Day Parade

  • Saturday, May 2, 2015
Red, white and blue were in abundance Friday as the Armed Forces Day Parade marched through the downtown Chattanooga streets.

The Daughters of the American Revolution honored the military, both active duty and retired, with flags, banners and thanks. The ladies marched with a banner for the organization and a banner for the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
Participating chapters were members of Nancy Ward, Chief John Ross, Chickamauga, and Moccasin Bend.

There are five DAR chapters in the Chattanooga area. Any woman with a patriot from the Revolutionary War is eligible for membership.
