Affordable Rental Projects Get Most Funds In CDBG Grants

Affordable rental projects will get the most funds in this year's Community Bloc Development Grant (CDBG) program of the city of Chattanooga, Home Investment Partnership Act Funds, and Emergency Solution Grant.

It was allotted $643,072.

Other spending includes:

Community development office admin $451,687

Debt services $430,000

Chattanooga Community Housing Development Organization $150,000

Chattanooga Community Kitchen $10,000

Chattanooga Homeless Coalition $59,000

Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise $115,000

Chattanooga Room in the Inn $12,000

ECD housing projects $402,298

Family Promise $50,118

Habitat for Humanity $50,000

Health Department emergency assistant program $30,000

Partnership FCA $37,500

Public Works $200,000

Youth and Family Development emergency housing assistance $25,000

DHCO set-aside $99,815
