U.S. Army Medical Team Deploys Medical Tent At Erlanger

  • Thursday, May 21, 2015

Representatives from the U.S. Army Medical Program visited Erlanger Health System to provide an opportunity for healthcare professionals to meet recruiters from the medical program and tour a Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter tent.

The DRASH is a specialized tent featuring an operating room for Army surgical teams who are deployed in urgent surgical care environments, from combat scenarios to natural disasters.

The Army team’s visit allowed hospital workers, physicians and residents to gain a better understanding of Army Medicine, its many capabilities and the opportunities it offers to those in healthcare professions.
