Ambi Artists To Host Creative Meeting And Craft And Crop

  • Friday, May 22, 2015

Ambi Artists will host a Creative Meeting and Craft and Crop on Thursday, June 4, from 6-9 p.m. at the Heritage House Arts and Civic Center1428 Jenkins Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

Ambi Artists is a “cross-pollinator” where creatives of all stripes gather to reignite their creative spark. Typical get-togethers include writers and poets, fine artists and sculptors, photographers and filmmakers, just to name a few.

Although not required, attendees may also bring a recent artwork or "work-in-progress" for positive feedback and further inspiration.

Craft and Crop is also part of the monthly Ambi Artist Meeting.

Organizers said, "Do you have a fun crafting project you need to start or are currently working on? We have plenty of space for all your creative needs whether you're designing clothes or costumes, painting a portrait, scrapbooking, crocheting, making jewelry, or whatever your craft of choice."

Food for the event is potluck so attendees should bring a dish or non alcoholic drink to share with everyone.

Organizer Ms. Cameron said, "It is my belief and my experience as a teacher that all of us are healthy enough to practice creativity. It is not a dangerous endeavor requiring trained facilitators. It is our human birthright and something we can do gently and collectively. Creativity is like breathing – pointers may help, but we do the process ourselves.

"Creative clusters, where we gather as peers to develop our strength, are best regarded as tribal gatherings, where creative beings raise, celebrate, and actualize the creative power which runs through us all."
