Former Hamilton Heights basketball star Ema Plentauskaite has signed a basketball scholarship to Roane State Community College.

The 5-foot-8-inch guard, originally from Lithuania, played two years with the Lady Hawks and helped them to a 43-22 record.

“Ema is a wonderful person on and off the court,” Hamilton Heights coach Keisha Hunt said. “I am very excited for her and Roane State. Ema will be  able to step in and make contributions with her 3-point shooting and work ethic.”

Said Lady Raiders coach Monica Boles, “I love (Plentauskaite’s) ability to see the floor and distribute precise passes as well as shoot the basketball.

She is a great teammate, hard worker and has a great knowledge of the game. I look forward to coaching her.”
