I am lifting my voice in support of education for our children in Chattanooga's Hamilton County Schools, to include funding and rebuilding education. On Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and via personal letter to elected officials I wish to express that until we are able to do better, do what we can.
We must always be committed to education, no matter what, because "people perish for the lack of knowledge" - Hosea 4:6 and "A little learning, indeed, may be a dangerous thing, but the want of learning is a calamity to any people." - Frederick Douglass.
Chattanooga's most valuable asset is its people, not projects. That said, I'm reminded of another quote "People don't care about how much you know (or have), until they know how much you care."
I am asking everyone to please also let your voice be heard by writing on social media, to elected officials for the benefit of our children, our communities, and our city as a whole. Don't let "thy have not" be "because thy ask not."
Ask, even in praying to God. That way, regardless of what happens, His Will will be done in your life. God bless you.
