Ardell Thomas, 59, died on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Memorial Hospital. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Agnes Watkins and Waddell Thomas and brother, David Thomas.

He attended Riverside High School.

He is survived by his sisters, Arion (Tim) Akins, Tracey Thomas, and Marie Moore, all of Chattanooga, and brothers, Douglas (Bertha) Thomas, Chattanooga, Marvin Thomas, Kenny Watkins, Tommy Thomas, and George (Sandra) Thomas of Athens, Ga. In addition, he is survived by uncles and aunts, Clarence (Ann) Bloodsaw, Bobby (Evelyn) Bloodsaw of Athens, Ga., and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 1, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Hathaway of Greater Tucker Baptist Church as the eulogist.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to Chattanooga Oncology at Memorial Hospital, Chattanooga, on behalf of Ardell Thomas.
