Dana Lynn Howe, 44, of Kimball, Tennessee, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her home. 

Dana attended Starkville Academy in Mississippi where she was secretary of her senior class, co-captain of the tennis, track and cheerleading teams, a member of the Honor Society and graduated with honors.  She continued her education at Mississippi State University where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She then attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she graduated with a MS as a nurse practitioner.  She was employed at the Medical Arts Center for several years and was devoted to her patients.

She was also a member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church in South Pittsburg, and an avid animal lover. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Charles D. Howe of Birmingham, AL and Mr. & Mrs. Howard Alexander of Trenton, TN.

She is survived by her parents, Mike and Patty Howe of South Pittsburg, aunt, Kay (Joe) Gibbs of Brownsville, TN, uncle, Dr. Robert Howe of Birmingham, AL, and several cousins.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, on Saturday, May 30, from 1–3 p.m. central time.

A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 3:00 pm central time on Saturday with Reverend Michael Johnson officiating.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to MARC (Marion Animal Resource Connection, PO Box 153, Jasper, TN 37347) or the humane society of your choice.
