Erlanger officials said 10 hospital beds will be reopened for patients at Erlanger North in Red Bank.
The facility several years ago shuttered much of its operation under a prior administration.
Kevin Spiegel, Erlanger CEO, said the Red Bank facility "is being re-energized."
Also, a June 22 groundbreaking is set for a major expansion at Erlanger East on Gunbarrel Road.
Mr. Spiegel said the expansion will include adding 60 hospital beds.
He said it is another step in making Erlanger East a full-service community hospital.
It was also announced that the state on Wednesday approved a certificate of need for an intravenous cardiology lab at Erlanger East.
Robert Brooks, Erlanger chief operating officer, said Erlanger is adding beds on its main campus to deal with an increase in admissions.
Those include beds for intensive care and orthopedic patients.
