A Chattanooga trucking firm said an employee drove off in a $50,000 Freightliner, then used it to go to Marion County to steal a trailer to go with it.

John Raymond Tabor, 33, of Dunlap, Tn., was charged with theft over $10,000 after the Tennessee Highway Patrol stopped him while he was en route back to Chattanooga.

An official of S&H Trucking on E. 36th Street said Tabor came back to the company after everyone left for the day.

Tabor was also charged with DUI.
