Andrew “J.D.” Richard, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away early Friday morning, May 29, 2015 at his residence.
He was retired from Wheland Foundry after 30 years of service. He was a member of Bryant Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Bertha Nann Monroe; brother, Floyd Richard; and sisters, Evelyn Richard, Brondll Gamble and Johnnie Burns.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Charlotte Avans Richard of Chattanooga; children, Sharon Hamilton of Bryant, AL, James (Dianna) Richard of Chattanooga, Ronnie (Leslie) Richard of Madison, TN and Terry (Renee) Richard of Murfreesboro, TN; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 1, in the Chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Winters and Rev. Steve Camp officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends Sunday, May 31 from 2-8 p.m. and 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, June 1 at Ryan Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
