  • Sunday, May 3, 2015

Cleveland State's late-inning rally fell short in a TCCAA elimination game against Volunteer State on Saturday.

The Cougars scored eight runs the final three innings, but couldn't complete the comeback losing 11-10.

Cleveland State centerfielder Wright Hackett drove in four runs and hit two triples along with a single.  Shortstop Janson Roberson batted in three runs of his own.

The Cougars finish the season with 24 wins and 22 losses.

The TCCAA tournament is held at Chattanooga State Community College.
