Laura Michelle King, 47, died suddenly at home on April 30, 2015.
She was a selfless woman and a stay at home mother of two sons whose wants and needs came second to her children and family. Always protective of the ones she loved, Michelle was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was her husband’s soul mate and best friend for more than 29 years. Her laughter, wittiness, and vibrant personality was not only the highlight of every family gathering, it was the thread that kept us tied together. The loss of our beloved Michelle has left a void in our lives that can only be filled with the lessons of love and devotion she taught us all.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Russell McClure.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell King, sons, Tucker and Chris King, granddaughters, Madison and Jaycee King, Lexi and Megan Potter, parents, Bob and Mickey McClure, brother, Tim McClure, niece, Emily McClure, dear friend, Ann Smith, and many extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 4, from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 5, from 12-1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.
Graveside services for Michelle will be conducted on Tuesday, May 5, at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
