Ribbon Cutting To Be Held Tuesday For Dalton Heroes Mural

Morris Innovative High School students, along with Chattanooga-based artist Kevin Bate, completed the Dalton Heroes Mural.
 
On the corner of Waugh and Pentz streets in downtown Dalton, five local heroes are displayed including Catherine Evans, Civil War General Joseph Johnston, Tcaeresa Sosa, Curtis Rivers and Bob Shaw. 
Morris Innovative High School and Dalton Public Schools invites the public to attend a ribbon cutting event on Tuesday, at 5 p.m. Dalton Mayor Dennis Mock will be speaking, along with MIHS students.
 
Ms. Sosa and Mr. Rivers will be present at the event, as well as artist Kevin Bate and Superintendent Dr. Jim Hawkins. Officials said, "Join us to celebrate student-work, collaboration and beautification."
