Chattanooga Troupe Nominated For Internet Award

  • Sunday, May 31, 2015

Chattanooga's own Dark Princess Theatre, known for their dark comedy Christmas shows and Valentine's Day Balls, has been nominated to receive an online award for Best New Podcaster/Team for their podcast that bears the troops name.

Founded in 2013 (their first Christmas show was Dec. 12, 2013 at Dodds Avenue's Barking Legs Theater), Dark Princess Theatre began producing their podcast in July 2014. The second season of Dark Princess Theatre is scheduled to begin releasing during the summer of 2015.

The Parsec Awards began in 2006, and are presented at the Dragon*Con Convention in Atlanta.

Speaking of the nomination, Hope Holloway, DPT's producer and director said, “How exciting is that?”

Dark Princess Theatre's story line revolves around the Dark Princess, Lady Gwendolyn (Holloway), her devoted undead butler, Alistaire Rook (Marcus Ellsworth) and a variety of quirky characters that surround the unconventional duo.
