The public is invited to attend the first EarthFest Celebration at Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organizers said, "Join us for a fun-filled day with your family enjoying the wonders of nature. Learn about the conservation efforts at Reflection Riding, such as the American Chestnut Tree restoration project and the Red Wolf Species Survival Plan project. Family appropriate activities will be going on throughout the property, including how to conduct water quality tests and learning about plants and animals of our region."
Participating partner organizations Wild Ones and Dr. David Aborn from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will be on-site. The event is sponsored by Chattanooga Times Free Press.

Event programming includes nature related family games, “Birds of Prey” program showcasing some of Reflection Riding’s Animal Ambassadors, guided hikes and tours of plant restoration/invasive plant removal projects under way at Reflection Riding as well as the Wildlife Wonderland specifically the endangered Red Wolf exhibit. Join us for a tour of our Butterfly Garden host of the threatened Monarch Butterfly. Learn about bird-banding with Dr. David Aborn and be sure to visit the C.E. Blevins Nesting Birds exhibit on its final weekend.
