Myron Dennis Poe
Myron Dennis “Denny” Poe, age 63, a native and longtime resident of Whitwell, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in a local hospital.
He was born Aug. 8, 1951, to the late Imogene Holloway and Arthur “Junior” Poe.
Mr. Poe was an avid Tennessee Vols sports fan; he loved Westerns and Coconut BonBons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Poe and his son, Cary “Mac” Poe.
Survivors include his son, Rev. Chad (Hope) Poe of Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Shepherd Poe, Charlie Poe, and Noli Poe all of Chattanooga; five sisters, Wanda Birdwell, Sybil (Don) Griffith, and Dorthy Watkins all of Whitwell; Delores (Jim) Boatwright of Chattanooga Valley, and Teresa Poe (Larry) Murphy of Red Bank; one brother, Bill Poe of Whitwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, at 11 a.m. in the North Chapel with Reverend Zach Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at the North Chapel.
