The Chief John Ross Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution awarded National Medal of Honor Museum with its prestigious Historical Preservation Recognition Medal.
CJR Regent Teresa Webb Rimer presided during the surprise moment at the 2015 Medal of Honor Banquet. Rimer reminded the over 200 audience members of the significance of the Medal of Honor and the importance of The National Medal of Honor Museum being located in Chattanooga.
“In an era when we often forget the cost of our liberty and self-determination, The National Medal of Honor Museum is a tangible representation of the service and sacrifices that have secured those rights for all citizens. The stories of the Medal of Honor recipients speak loudly through the museum’s outreach programs in civic organizations, public and private schools and museum displays for the general public.”
Executive Director Jim Wade accepted the medal on behalf of the Museum and its all-volunteer Board.
