  • Wednesday, May 6, 2015

Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy, TVA, EPB, Fletcher Bright Company, Chattanooga Lookouts, the Want To Foundation, Brainerd High School, Howard School and the Baylor School are looking for Chattanoogans who are willing to “Be and Mentor and Take 12.”  Volunteers are needed to take one hour a month, or 12 hours a year, to mentor a Chattanooga student.

There will be a kick-off gathering on Thursday, May 21, 6 p.m. at Chattanooga Lookouts Stadium for
Be A Mentor and Take 12 - to present the process of bringing students and mentors together.

“Be a Mentor and Take 12” is open to individuals, local professionals, civie organizations, colleges and universities, fraternities and sororities, religious institutions, professional associations and businesses and corporations.

This is a collaborative effort of public/private/non-profit entities to benefit all of Chattanooga's youth, not just specific schools.
