The Montessori Kinder School in Cleveland is hosting the 10th annual ??Maifest on Saturday from 1-6 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club.
The event includes authentic German foods and drinks, dancing to an oompa band, an outdoor Montessori Classroom, a dunk tank as well as vendors.
The school is partnering with Casa of Bradley County for this fundraising event. CASA is the Court Appointed Special Advocates for children. CASA is a network of 951 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Volunteer advocates—empowered directly by the courts—offer judges the information they need to ensure that each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care. Volunteers stay with children until they are placed in loving permanent homes. Last year CASA volunteers gave a voice to over 300 children in Bradley County.
The cost of the event is $5 for children and $10 for adults. Tickets are available at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/maifest-2015-tickets-16476753413?aff=eac2. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/Maifest, https://maifestcleveland.wordpress.com/ or https://twitter.com/maifest
