May 8-10

Memphis – Browse and shop antiques, vintage and handmade goods as Grain Antiques and Collectibles will be highlighted along with workshops, local music and food at Urban Barn Market.

May 9

Nashville – Get ready for seersucker suits and big hats at the Iroquois Steeplechase Party 11 a.m.

at Mason Bar.

Gray – Enjoy a hot summer night of Supercross racing at Appalachian Fairground.

May 9-10

Lookout Mountain – Spring is in the air at the 7th annual Southern Blooms Festival with garden tours, children’s activities, and food 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rock City Gardens.

May 10

Cordova – Have some good fun with mom that includes two buffets, two $10 game cards, and two unlimited drinks at America’s Incredible Pizza Company.

Chattanooga – The annual Mother’s Day celebration will include live music, lunch, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne and pampering beginning 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Market.

May 11-15

Jackson – Enjoy America’s favorite pastime as The Jackson Generals take on Biloxi Shuckers at 4 Fun Place.

May 15-16

Jackson – The annual Bemis Heritage Days will include storytelling with Bemis yarns, tours of Bemis, and barbecue at the Bemis Mill Village Museum.

Portland – The Highway 52 Yard Sale, Tennessee’s second longest yard sale with approx. 500 vendors selling antiques, crafts, furniture and food will take place along 95 miles from Portland, Tenn. to Celina, Tenn.

May 16

Gatlinburg – Local choices for healthy mountain living, the Farmers Market will be open 8:30 a.m. to noon each Saturday through mid-September in the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community at the Covered Bridge.

Memphis – Celebrate Armed Forces Day with free admission for everyone to the Belz Museum.

Knoxville – Meet world-class authors, illustrators, storytellers, and musicians at the Children’s Festival of Reading 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at World’s Fair Park in downtown Knoxville. The event is free and open to the public.

Portland – Bring flip flops, chairs and blankets for the annual Beach Bash on the Lawn with music by Parrots of the Caribbean 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Sumner Crest Winery. The event is free and open to the public.

May 16-June 6

Wartburg – Live music, food, local artisans and more will kick off the Mountain Laurel Walks Festival 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Morgan County Visitor Center in Wartburg. Mountain Laurels can be appreciated and captured on film along the 24 trails in Morgan County.

May 19

Nashville – Seether with special guest Tremonti will play to audiences 8 p.m. at the War Memorial Auditorium.

Townsend – Learn the history of Elkmont: Then and Now with Daniel L. Paulin followed by a book signing 2 p.m. at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center.

May 19-24

Memphis – Multi-Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots will bring its heart-warming story to the stage at Orpheum Theatre.

May 22

Jackson – Enjoy music from Jimmy Church Review as part of the AMP Concert Series 7 p.m. at The Amp. The event is free and open to the public.

May 23

Knoxville – Nine-time Grammy winner, Sheryl Crow will perform as well as Sam Outlaw 8 p.m. at the Tennessee Theatre.

Granville – Bluegrass music, an antique tractor and engine show, Civil War living history demonstrations and more will be featured at the 16th annual Granville Heritage Day in downtown Granville.

Hampshire – The Annual Cajunfest and Live Music event will take place at Amber Falls Winery.

Spring Hill – A couple of events will occur on this day including SummerFest, dedication of Port Royal Park and Memorial Day Celebration with a kickball tournament, music, games, and more in downtown Spring Hill.

Jonesborough – Flower admirers will enjoy the spring and summer Tennessee blooms at the 19th annual Garden Gala with seminars, garden tours, and tea 9 a.m. at the Jonesborough Visitors Center.

May 24-25

Memphis – Travel under the sea to Ariel’s world as Disney’s The Little Mermaid is played 4 p.m. on the Giant Screen at the Pink Palace Museum.

May 25-29

Memphis – Cook up nutritious and delicious meals while learning math and science during the Cooking Up Math & Science Camp 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 4-9 at The Children’s Museum of Memphis. Admission is $150 per session.

May 26

Nashville – Enjoy food specials like smoked brisket with Southern sides and $2 Coors beer drink specials while viewing Smokey and the Bandit as part of the cult-classic movie series at South Street.

May 26-30

Cookeville – Riders from around the world will come for the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Rally with rides, events and entertainment by The Kentucky Headhunters, The Charlie Daniels Band, and Three Dog Night each day.

May 29

Nashville – Brew at the Zoo will feature more than 40 craft breweries among animal exhibits and animal encounters 6:30-11 p.m. at the Nashville Zoo.

Collierville – See the animated movie, Up rated PG beginning at dusk at Carriage Crossing.

May 30

Union City – The 2nd annual Cardboard Boat Regatta will welcome extravagant cardboard boats for a race 11 a.m. at Discovery Park of America.

Memphis – Run through colors at The Color Vibe 5K at Robert R. Church Park.

Nashville – Celebrate the FREE Grand Opening Community Celebration of the newly renovated and expanded Nashville Ballet facility 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with dance classes, storytimes, adventure rooms for children, and more at The Martin Center of Nashville Ballet.

May 31

Nashville – Kids 12-14 years old can learn about Industrial Chemistry during the Young Chemist term at Adventure Science Center.
