Vicente Ramirez Fernandez
Crissy Bean, 21, Karen Sue Rhodes, 38, and Dennis Grissom, 65, have been identified as the victims who were seriously injured in a stabbing in Cleveland Saturday evening.
At 7:26 p.m., a call came into the 911 Communications Center of a stabbing at 2086 Wynwood Drive #3. Cleveland Police Department Officers responded within four minutes of the call and found the suspect, identified as Vicente Ramirez Fernandez, still inside the apartment. Officers took him into custody.
The three victims suffering severe stab wounds were in the apartment. The female victims were transported by LifeForce to Erlanger. The male victim was transported by EMS to SkyRidge.
It was revealed that the suspect, Fernandez and Ms. Bean had been in a relationship in the past and shared a child. The incident was domestic related. Ms. Bean, and her mother, Ms. Rhodes, sustained critical injuries and were flown by Life Force to Erlanger.
The neighbor, identified as Dennis Grissom, who was at the residence as well, sustained non-critical injuries while trying to intervene. All victims were stabbed with a knife.
As of 10 a.m., Ms. Bean and Ms. Rhodes were in critical condition.
Fernandez was interviewed by Criminal Investigations Division Detective Andy Wattenbarger. He was transported to the Bradley County Justice Center and will be charged with attempted first-degree murder.
Three small children were present in the home and are currently in the custody of Department of Children's Services.
The incident was domestic related. This investigation ongoing.
