The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce’s Diversify 2015, presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, takes place Wednesday, June 24 from 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
“Attendees can shop Chattanooga’s most culturally diverse marketplace,” said Maria Noel, director of African American Business Development at the Chattanooga Chamber. “We predict more than 700 attendees. Entrepreneur Janice Bryant Howroyd, the first African-American female to direct a billion-dollar enterprise, gives our keynote speech and we know people will want to hear her inspirational story.”
The Diversify marketplace showcases diverse business owners offering a variety of gift items. Local nonprofits, private firms and government agencies will be represented as well.
Ms. Howroyd will discuss her road to success during the luncheon, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Ms. Howroyd’s firm, The ACT 1 Group, serves more than 13,000 clients globally and ranks second on the Black Enterprise Magazine BE 100 List.
Opportunities are still available for businesses to sell products and market services at Diversify. Vendor tables cost $75 and include one free luncheon ticket. Booths are $250 without electricity, $300 with electricity and include two free luncheon tickets.

Attendees must reserve luncheon tickets in advance. The cost for individuals is $45 for Chamber members and $55 for non-members. Corporate tables cost $500 for members and $600 for non-members.
