Roger Heard, 53, was shot Thursday night on Walden Avenue.
At approximately 10:51 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a local hospital for a person shot.
Mr. Heard stated that while he was at an address on Walden Avenue, an unknown suspect approached him with a firearm and shot him. Mr. Heard sustained non-life threatening injuries and was able to drive himself to a local hospital.
Investigators are working on gathering suspect information.
