Shame On WRCB For Not Running Same-Sex Ad - And Response (4)

  • Tuesday, June 2, 2015
Shame on WRCB for not allowing a veteran to tell his story about his right to marry his partner.

Refusing to air a Freedom to Marry ad, because it is too controversial, is pure bigotry. This veteran has served in combat areas, but cannot marry the person he loves.

It is time to stop living in the 50's and 60's. It is 2015 and time to move forward.

Jesus makes no mention of same sex marriage.

Why are folks making WRCB out to be un-American because they chose not to run the same sex marriage ad? I do appreciate the gentleman’s service to his country but I fail to see what his career choice has to do with the issue at hand.

My father is retired military, spent 2.5 years in Vietnam, and holds an opposing view on gay marriage. Does the gay community lend more weight to my father’s view because he is a veteran? I doubt it.

WRCB made a decision based on what it thought was best for its business. Had WRCB chosen to run the ad it would have received as much, if not more, of a negative response from its viewers.

In my view, this is a moral issue and not a patriotic one.

Dear Mr. Souders,

I couldn't possibly agree with you more - double shame on WRCB.

Chattanooga, Hamilton County, their businesses, and a good many of our citizens - Teavangelicals whose sole defining characteristic seems to be a demonstrative refusal to learn - need to grow up.

So now there is a big hubbub about a Chattanooga TV station refusing to air a pro-homosexual “marriage” ad.  What a hoot, especially considering how much “politically incorrect” speech is censored in this country due to those intolerant, goofy, liberal “speech codes” that are so widespread.

We have laws in this country against such things as consenting-adult polygamy, consenting-adult incest, consenting-adult prostitution, consenting-adult exhibitionism, etc. For around 200 years we had laws against such things as homosexual "marriage," adoption by homosexuals, and even homosexual and bisexual activity. Why?

Thinking people have known for centuries that homosexual activity is immoral and a bad legal precedent.  For example, Plato wisely and logically deprecated homosexual activity centuries ago.  It is relatively easy to point out serious flaws in all the arguments homosexuals use to try to rationalize homosexual activity.  So, to put voluntary, aberrant homosexual activity on the same level as involuntary skin color or age clearly flies in the face of reason.

It may surprise you that some colleges like Harvard now have officially recognized student groups devoted to promoting the acceptance of BDSM---sexually deviant bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism.  That's right.  If you are a student who gets sexual thrills from hitting people, some colleges like Harvard now have groups for you.  Is that bizarre or what. (Are Neanderthals running that school?)

Those paying attention can see that the "logic" of heterophobic homosexuals is rapidly leading this society down a slippery slope to a more aberrant, disordered and irrational society.  Legal polygamy is coming soon.  Maybe down the line we'll see "marriage" between straight and homosexual consenting-adult incestuous people.  Whoopee.  Anyone who thinks this is progress is deluding him/herself.

Just maybe it is not a moral issue or a political issue.  Perhaps it is a boring issue. A get it out of our faces issue.  Enough of the gay marriage attention. It is not fascinating.  God said man shall love his wife as Christ loves his church.

Marriage is scriptural. Homosexuality is not. If you're going to take one piece of the bible such as marriage then why not take all of the bible.  Marriage was not created for insurance purposes.  It is about love not rights.  If someone of the same sex loves another of the same sex then go for it. One of you can change your name.

To structure your marriage around rights instead of love is your first red flag.  You have the right to be heathens and clowns. You have the right to live a carnal nature. You have the right to dress up like a woman and shave your legs. I do not have to embrace your disgrace.  Do not believe you can impose on my beliefs. I have the right to my belief.

I do not want to see your gay pride circus. Our country is in a crisis. Your shenanigans must move out of the spotlight.   People who are eligible for common law marriage do not march the streets banging and shouting,"You better be politically correct or your not the new cool."  "You better say my lifestyle is okay or we will call you ugly names." How about,  "Hey look at me, I served this country therefore I can take up air time and tell you about my sexuality."

It is very sad that young adolescent children who fear they are homosexual commit suicide. Bullies may be the last straw. Many adolescent children commit suicide. Some are straight and some are homosexual.  It is growing in this nation. It is at an all time high. It does not discriminate. The media expands on the homosexual child being bullied but many straight  children are suicidal.

Marriage has everything to do with God because it is biblical.  God loves everyone.  You have the right to walk away from God and go live a carnal nature. You get the attention instead of him.  Keep doing what your doing but keep it out of the news. Your self absorbed sexuality is becoming unbearable.

Call me what you want but we have bigger issues in this country right now besides watching gay marriage fight for rights and Bruce Jenner turning into a "woman."  A woman who will never experience a period, pregnancy or the fun filled phase of menopause.  I do not care how many parts they take off and replace, he will never be a woman unless he has experienced at least one of those three things.

I think gay people love attention. Take your shenanigans and your gay pride parades and twist across the state line. You're costing America. You're a boring act.  Your identity is your sexuality.  Is that truly a cause. How shallow are you?

Bruce Jenner has a dream to make the world a better place by becoming a woman.  Is he a prophet?  Lets talk global warming, GMO's, child abuse, addiction, cruelty to animals, peace during a time of terrorist.

Your freedom of sexual preference will not make the world a better place.  Smile and do something for a cause, not a carnal impulse. Seek something besides "your" self seeking  sexuality. Your shallow self absorbed sexual tendencies are not important to us. What you do behind closed doors is your business, lets keep it that way.
