Waynette Blaylock Sosebee, 81, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at her home.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a kind and generous sister. Old friends and new friends were accepted as family with smiles and treated to the best southern cooking ever. Waynette was an avid bridge player, reader, artist and in business, a dedicated office manager.  She loved well, was well loved and will be missed forever.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Waynette was a graduate of City High School and Young Harris Junior College. She was an Army wife and mother and ran the NCO wives club in Darmstadt, Germany.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harold C. Sosebee.

Survivors include her sister and friend, Sandra Seifert; children, Steve Sosebee (Karen), Hal Sosebee (Lindsay Taylor), Sandy Sosebee Brick (Jim), Beth Sosebee Walker; seven grandchildren, Sandy Chandler (Josh), Adam Cox (Laura), Amy Hinkle (Jason), Steven Sosebee (Amanda), Clint Brakebill (Lauren), Christopher Sosebee and Holly Sosebee and four great-grandchildren, Kylan, Hudson, Knox and Becca; niece, Christina Glidden (Dave); nephew, Alex Seifert (Ann); great niece and nephews, Matthew, Evie and Harrison.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.  

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, and from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Waynette will be entombed with her husband at Chattanooga National Cemetery immediately following the service.
