Weston Wamp Launches Weekend Radio Show With Brewer Media On ESPN Radio 105.1 On Saturday

  • Tuesday, June 2, 2015

Weston Wamp, two-time congressional candidate and founding director of Lamp Post Group, has teamed up with Brewer Media Group to create a two-hour weekly radio show that will air on ESPN Radio 105.1 FM. Weston Wamp on The Pitch debuts Saturday.

Following months of national TV and radio appearances ranging from Fox News to XM Radio, Mr. Wamp has collaborated with Brewer executives to produce a show that will feature nationally prominent guests and cover topics running the gamut from sports to politics.

“Partnering with Brewer Media gives me the freedom to explore a new style of talk radio covering everything that’s happening in the world,” said Mr. Wamp. “Like our companies at Lamp Post, Brewer Media moves fast and has strong entrepreneurial roots.”

Weston Wamp on the Pitch will air live every Saturday from 10 a.m to 12 noon, with live callers interacting with Mr. Wamp and his guests throughout the show at 423 648-1051.

“I'm excited to have Weston on board,” said Jim Brewer II, president of Brewer Media. “It'll be fun. I've really enjoyed working with Weston on this project.”

"Sports fans are passionate about politics and people in the political arena are passionate about sports,” said Wells Guthrie, program director of ESPN Radio Chattanooga. “The two go hand in hand and fit perfectly with ESPN Radio's target demographic. As a station, we're excited to witness the fusion of the two subjects and we feel Weston is the perfect guy for the job."

In February, Mr. Wamp and his wife Shelby, welcomed their first child, River. Also earlier this year, Mr. Wamp moved into a new role as head of development at Lamp Post Group, representing the firm among larger investors across the country.
