Free GradNation Summit To Be Held July 20

United Way of Greater Chattanooga and the Hamilton County Department of Education are partnering to host a GradNation Community Education Summit from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, July 20 at First Presbyterian Church. 

The Summit will include keynote speakers Candice McQueen, Tennessee commissioner of Education and Joanna Fox, senior policy analyst from the national organization “Everyone Graduates” (a research program of Johns Hopkins University).  

The community is invited to participate in information workshops that will address Early Childhood Readiness, Foundational Literacy, Middle School transition, and High School Graduation.

Youth and Community panels will address challenges and supports needed for all children to be successful in school.

 The Summit is free to the public.  Anyone planning to attend needs to register at uwchatt.org/GradNation by July 15. Space is limited.
