Dorothy Smith Collins Harris, 97, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015, at her home.
Dorothy was born in the Battlecreek community on June 30, 1918 to the late Albert and Ethel Smith. She was a retired teacher, who taught in Tennessee for 30 years and Georgia for 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mancel Louis Collins and Preston Harris; her parents; and brother, Thomas I. “Bub” Smith.
She is survived by her son, Ron Collins of South Pittsburg, TN; her grandchildren, Misty O’Leary, Mary Beth Collins and Byron Collins; and five great-grandchildren.
