Last year the Southern League All-Star Game was played at AT&T Field in Chattanooga. Among the players was Kris Bryant who is now in the starting lineup for the Chicago Cubs.

The 2015 Southern League All-Star Game will be held Tuesday night at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, AL. Among the players selected was baseball's top prospect, the Lookouts' Byron Buxton. The native Georgian would have been happy to participate except for the call-up he received from the Minnesota Twins. In Monday night's game, Buxton was 3-for-5 hitting in the lead-off spot for the first time.

Besides Bryant, some of the most celebrated Major League players from past Southern League All-Star games include Cardinals' catcher and six-time All-Star, Yadier Molina; the 2010 National League MVP, Joey Votto; and the 2013 National League MVP runner-up and two-time All-Star for the Diamondbacks, Paul Goldschmidt.

Chattanooga has seven players on the North Division roster.

Top row: third baseman Miguel Sano, first baseman Max Kepler, shortstop Jorge Polanco, and left fielder Adam Brett Walker ll.

Bottom row; pitchers DJ Baxendale, Jose Berrios, and Zach Jones.
