Guided Kayak Tour: A History of Downtown Chattanooga June 27
Join Outdoor Chattanooga and the Chattanooga History Center on a beginner friendly, guided kayak tour of downtown Chattanooga on Sat., June 27beginning at 8:30 a.m. All equipment is provided by Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga.
CHC Senior Educator, Caroline Sunderland will provide a historical narrative and pictures of the Tennessee River during the paddle. The tour is open to kids ages 8 and up. Kids 8-13 must paddle tandem with an adult. Cost is $45 per adult and $35 for kids 8-13. Reservation and payment is required in advance. Rapid Learning at Chester Frost Park Tonight, Wed., June 24

The Rapid Learning Whitewater Kayaking Program will be at Chester Frost County Park every Wed. with two sessions: 6 and 7 p.m. Interested members of the public can come to either session and try the program for free. Huck Finn Family Paddling Adventure June 25
Join Outdoor Chattanooga on a Huck Finn family padding adventure on Thurs., June 25 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. We'll paddle canoe pontoons through the Chickamauga Lock and travel down the Tennessee River. All equipment and transportation will be provided by Outdoor Chattanooga. Bring your own picnic dinner and drinks to enjoy while floating down the river. Canoe North Chickamauga Creek June 26
Come out and Canoe on the North Chickamauga Creek at Greenway Farms with Outdoor Chattanooga on Friday June 26 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Adults and kids ages 6 and older can paddle for an hour for $10 per person. *Nickajack Bat Cave Canoe Tours Begin Thursdays July 10 thru Sept. 25 
Join Outdoor Chattanooga for a family friendly, guided Canoe Tour to the Nickajack Bat Cave on Thursdays at 7 p.m. EST beginning July 10 through Sept. 25. We'll paddle to the mouth of the cave to watch the bats emerge at dusk for their nightly feeding, then meander back to the launch after dark. All equipment will be provided by Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga. Cost is $10 for children ages 13 and under and $20 for ages 14 and up. Reservations are required. To make a reservation or for more information email Outdoor Chattanooga or call (423) 643-6888.

*Lookout Creek NPS History Tour by Canoe July 9 and Aug. 13
Outdoor Chattanooga and Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will host 2 free, interpretive history canoe trips on Lookout Creek on Thurs., July 9 and Thurs., Aug. 13 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Adults and kids ages 6 and older can join the free trip, which will focus on the Civil War history surrounding the creek. The free trips are sponsored by Friends of Moccasin bend. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. To reserve, email Outdoor Chattanooga or call (423) 643-6888

*Guided Bicycle Tour with Chattanooga History Center July 11
Join Outdoor Chattanooga and the Chattanooga History Center on Sat., July 11 at 8:30 a.m. for a leisurely paced, guided bicycle tour of downtown Chattanooga. We'll bike from Coolidge Park to the Chattanooga Choo Choo and back, approximately 2 hours round trip while historian, Caroline Sunderland provides an interactive narrative of the transportation history of Chattanooga. The tour is appropriate for ages 15 and up when accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5 for Chattanooga History Center members and $10 for non-members. Participants can BYO-Bicycle or borrow an urban cruiser from the Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga's mobile fleet. Helmets are required for all participants. *Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon June 28
The Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon hosted by the Chattanooga Track Club will be held on Sun., June 28 in downtown Chattanooga starting at 7 a.m. Spectators can watch the 2,000+ competitors in this years race swim in the Tennessee River from Walnut St. Bridge, or the bike and run portions of the race on local roads. The heaviest action will be at Ross' Landing, along the downtown south shore of the TN River, U.S. 27 north from downtown to Hwy. 153 and on the Tennessee Riverwalk. All segments of the triathlon will be done by 12:30 p.m.

*Outdoor Fun Day on the Farm in the South Chickamauga Creek June 27 The South Chickamauga Creek Greenway Alliance is hosting a big fun outdoor day on Spencer Farm and in the South Chickamauga Creek this Sat., June 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be lots of activities for the whole family including stand up paddling, canoeing, wading in the creek, catching fish and crawdads, climbing a tower, playing games, wining prizes, and enjoying grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and marshmallows. Rock/Creek Learn How to SUP Series Held Tuesdays June 23-Aug. 25
Rock/Creek is hosting an Intro to Stand Up Paddle Board series on Tuesdays, June 23 through Aug. 25 at Warner Park Pool, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave. There are two, 1 hour sessions offered each Tues. at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. On Aug. 4 and 11, theIntro to Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga will be offered in place of the intro to SUP session. Kids for Clean Water Summer Camps July 6-10 & July 13-17
A weekly summer kids camp focusing on water, nature, science and fun for kids age 8-12 still has openings. The camp dates are July 6-10 (Audubon Acres, East Brainerd) and July 13-17 (Greenway Farms, Hixson). All camps run Mon. through Fri. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Before and after care is available if needed. Cost is $150 per week per child. A Call to Arms: Civil War Day Camp July 14-16 and July 21-23
Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park invites children in grades 4-8 to participate in their 6th annual summer camp entitled A Call to Arms: Civil War Day Camp. The first camp will be held Tues. through Thurs., July 14-16 for grades 4-6. The second camp will be held Tues. through Thurs., July 21-23 for grades 7-8. The camps will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. daily at the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center. Camp participation is limited and registration deadline isWed., July 3rd.
