Aurello Ramsey, 31, Arrested On Multiple Charges After SWAT Call Friday Evening

Aurello Ramsey, 31, was arrested on multiple charges after a SWAT call Friday evening.

At approximately 7:21 p.m. the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 2000 E. 32nd Street for what initially started as a verbal disorder. It was discovered that the complainant located his vehicle, which was previously reported stolen, and followed the suspect to E. 32nd Street. A confrontation ensued and the suspect barricaded himself inside a residence prior to the arrival of police and refused to surrender. It was later learned the suspect was possibly in possession of a firearm and had a lengthy and violent criminal history.

The SWAT Team as well as the Hostage Negotiation Team were called.

Ramsey was charged with multiple drug-related charges including theft of property, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of a firearm with the intent to go armed, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, as well as multiple outstanding warrants.
