Baskett, Janice June Hitchcock (Dunlap)

Janice June Hitchcock Baskett, 78, of Dunlap, Tennessee, died at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga on Sunday, June 28, 2015 after a brief illness.

Mrs. Baskett was born in Sequatchie County January 24, 1937. She was a member of Ewtonville Baptist Church, a member of DAV Auxillary and was a member of Gold Star Wives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Ola Mae Hatfield Hitchcock; siblings, Joyce, Judy, Janie, Garrett and Olean. 

Survivors include her sons, Steve (Cheryl) Elder, VA, Stewart (Carol) Elder, MI and Scott Elder, FL; daughter, Sylvia Elder, FL; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. CDT Tuesday, June 30 at Ewtonville Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Kearns officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church after the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Ewtonville Baptist Church Senior Program.

Ewton Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
