Eva Bloom, 59, was arrested Sunday after an officer observed her driving dangerously, and crossing the white fog line twice. He said he later found that she had been texting.

After she was stopped at the 9500 block of Highway 58, she told the officer that she had been talking on the phone and texting and that she had missed her destination.

When the officer asked for her license, she initially handed him a check card. She was also initially aware of the date, but later said it was a different date.

She also told the officer that she was on pain medication and showed him a bottle of Oxymorphone (30 mg) which had three pills left. Ms. Bloom consented to field sobriety tests after which the officer decided she was in no condition to drive.

Inside her purse authorities located another, empty pill bottle labelled Hydro/APAP 10-325 mg and another labelled Citalopram 40 mg which had 23 pills left. All medications were prescribed to Ms. Bloom.
