Trevin Webb
Trevin Deon Webb, 21, was arrested Friday for aggravated assault after he allegedly stole a handgun from a motel room and then pointed it at a witness.
Police responded to the Hamilton Inn Motel on Lee Highway and spoke with a witness who said that she saw her neighbor’s door had been kicked in when she came home. A black male walked out of the room and pointed a gun at her chest and told her to not tell anyone what she had seen.
The victim said that she knew him as “Trey,” since he frequented the motel area. The owner of the room was not present at the time, but when he came back, he confirmed that Webb was often seen in the area.
He also said that his .22 silver revolver and a box of ammunition were missing from his room. The first victim was able to identify Webb from a mugshot at which point police were advised that he usually hangs out in another room.
When authorities went to the room, they found and detained Webb and spoke with another individual, Grayson Dupree, who was also in the room and said that he had earlier seen Webb with a handgun and a dark-colored bag.
Police were not able to locate the handgun, but did find a live .22 caliber round outside the room.
